Celebrating 10 Years at 90.5!

At 9:50amTwo Towers-3 on June 30, 2005, we moved our broadcast antenna from downtown Erie (atop the Nash Library) out to Summit Township, quadrupling our terrestrial broadcast coverage area.  Concurrent with the move, WERG moved up the dial from 89.9 to 90.5-FM.

Student General Manager Evan O’Polka was on the air for the transition, and was joined by Operations Manager Chet LaPrice, Chief Engineer Mike Kobylka, and AJ Miceli (then-chairperson of the Department of Theatre, Communication and Fine Arts, now Director of the School of Communication and the Arts).

We dedicated the move in memory of the late Dr. John Duda: long-time WERG chief engineer.
