The Raconteurs are releasing their sophomore album
sooner than expected. The new album Consolers of
the Lonely was planned for release this coming
fall, but Jack White and other members of the band
announced on Monday that the new release will be out
on March 25. Consolers of the Lonely
contains 14 songs and will be available on CD,
vinyl, and via digital download.
Another famous group released their second album
this week. Gnarls Barkleys The Odd Couple
was originally set for an April 8 release date but
became available to fans on-line yesterday. The
first single off the album Run was made
available for airplay last month, and many fans
urged that the CD be released early. Gnarls Barkley
will be the musical guest on the April 12 episode of
Saturday Night Live.
